It is on the counter so that it is available all the time. I am the hubby and I don’t have to go in to finish mixing by hand for the wifey. It does an awewome job. Amazon delivery was much better than promised, almost spoiled my XMAX surprise. Removable parts are easy to clean, so you aren’t afraid to use it. It does an excellent job on mixes, like bread and cookie dough.

The best thing about this mixer is the bowl cover. No more cleaning the counters and back drops after I mix. The mixer is heavy enough to stay put and I have two hands free. I have not had any trouble mixing cookie dough, even the thick oatmeal raisin. The mixer is a little bit taller than the edge of my top cabinets so I have to tilt it to slide it under when I’m not using it. The weight of the mixer makes this a little difficult, but it’s worth it to have a mixer that doesn’t travel around when I’m mixing. The other drawback is the placement of the speed switch. I am left handed so I cannot see the switch. I would recommend this for anyone who uses a mixer a lot.

I have the pistachio Artisan mixer and I love it. It works perfectly and it looks like a work of art. Totally worth the money.
