If you’re familiar w/ the slim 514, then these are the ones for you! I had never heard of Tillys before, but now that Mervyns went out of business, I turned to Amazon & am so glad I did.
When Levis first came out w/ these (slightly before teens started going ultra-skinny w/ their denim) I was THRILLED because I’m a skinny tall-ish thin white boy w/ no butt & finally I found a style that looked fantastic on, & felt fantastic.
They were the slimest guys jeans could get until recently when style dictated the unveiling of the new 511, which is so slim & tapered that I dont know how you would even put them on, but your 15-18 year will love ‘em.
**Consult the Levis website if you need help w/ the wash discriptions &/or colors, etc. –If you’re unsure what type of jeans or fit you’re looking for, …I suggest ALWAYS to go down in person to try them on in order to get an idea of the different cuts, variety, & so on.**

If you’re a fan of Levi’s 501’s or 505’s, but were thinking about trying something with a little bit more of a modern cut/fit, these are the jeans for you. The rise is about two inches shorter than the 501’s, and the fit from the waistband to the knees is a bit slimmer. If you’ve been wearing your 501’s a bit lower because of an expanding gut, the crotch and seat of your jeans is hanging too low. This jean corrects that problem with the shortened rise. It also just looks more stylish. The fabric is a lighter weight than the 501’s, and the jeans (mine, at least) are made in Pakistan, if that matters to you. I think most Levi’s are now made in Mexico. The color is quite a dark blue, nearly black, and has stayed that way through quite a few washings (I don’t put them in the dryer, though).
If you’re looking for a similar jean in a boot cut, try the Levi’s 527.
In any case, these jeans make me feel tall, slim and stylish, and they’re about half the price of the nearest competitor with a similar fit. How can you not like that?

Wow!!! I’m very impressed with this order! Shipping was kind of fast and I got exactly what I wanted – Slim Straight Men’s Jeans that were not faded at all!
